Mitsubishi celebrates grand opening of the Mitsubishi Center for Education

RYE, NY – Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc., today announced the grand opening of the Mitsubishi Center for Education, a state-of-the-art demonstration print shop for dealers, printers and graphic arts professionals.

The official opening of the training and education center – located at Mitsubishi Imaging headquarters in Rye, NY – began with remarks and a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Mitsubishi Imaging President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Hiroshi Tomimasu.

“The Mitsubishi Center for Education expands our commitment to superior customer service and to products that help printers thrive,” said Dr. Tomimasu. “Open year round, it’s the ideal place to see how easily printing comes together with Mitsubishi technology. And we thank Hamada of America, who helped make the real-world print-shop experience possible through the generous contribution of a brand new B452 Mark II press.”

At the Mitsubishi Center for Education, visitors can experience the entire print process from beginning to end, including file production, proofing, platesetting and finally printing to the B452 Mark II Press. Both dealers and printers have access to key Mitsubishi product demonstrations within a complete print-shop setting.

“The Mitsubishi Center for Education is a tremendous resource for hands-on evaluation of new print technologies,” said Mr. Kobayashi, Export Group Manager and Executive at Hamada US. “There’s no better way to see how seamless and productive Mitsubishi and Hamada products are than by seeing them work together first-hand.”

During the formal tour of the new center, visitors got up close and in-depth looks at the full line of Mitsubishi products, including Silver Master and Silver DigiPlate polyester plates, the DPX family of polyester platesetters, SDP SmartTools workflow software and Diamond Jet Proofing products, plus the Hamada B452 Mark II press.
