“Printers are exploring ways to go green and put more money on their bottom line – from saving energy to using fewer chemicals in the print process,” said Frances Cicogna, Director of Graphic Arts Marketing at Mitsubishi Imaging. “Mitsubishi Imaging offers affordable eco-friendly choices that cost less to own and operate and are less complicated to run.”
Right-sized for the small to medium commercial printer, Mitsubishi Imaging’sSilver DigiPlatesystem is the most widely used polyester CTP system on the market, with more than 10,000 installations worldwide. Polyester systems have risen in popularity as printers discover their superior value and performance over metal CTP systems. They have always consumed less energy and fewer chemicals than comparable metal systems. This next generation of polyester systems will help printers reduce their environmental impact even further.
“Unlike other suppliers just entering the small to mid-sized printer market, our products are right-sized, not retrofitted.” Cicogna continued, “They’ve been built and enhanced from day 1 to meet the needs of the small to mid-sized print shop.”
The company’s parent and primary source for high-quality inkjet media, Mitsubishi Paper Mills, is recognized as a forerunner in sustainable forest management, offering paper products that meet both high social and environmental standards. Mitsubishi’s inkjet brands include the world-class Diamond Jet proofing papers and the award-winning Pictorico inkjet photo papers.
