GEKKO WINS DIMA 2009 SHOOT-OUT!

B&W photo paper awarded top prize for second year running in prestigious contest.

RYE, NY- Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc. is proud to announce that for the second year in a row, its GEKKO black-and-white inkjet paper took top honors at the Digital Imaging Marketing Association (DIMA) 2009 Digital Printer Shoot-Out.

GEKKO Green won the "Best Black and White Print With a Color Printer" Award.

"We knew this paper was going to be a hit with photographers, and now it's a consistent winner with DIMA judges, too," said Steven Vallario, Director of Digital Imaging Marketing at Mitsubishi Imaging. "GEKKO's rich, deep blacks and outstanding performance are the result of years of inkjet paper research and development. We're honored to receive this award."

About DIMA Digital Shoot-Out

The DIMA Digital Shoot-Out tests digital printers, media, ink and raster image processors using a challenging target file. Entries are judged on criteria such as neutral gray balance reproduction, saturation, shadow detail and quality, overall tonality and detail, highlights and spectacular highlights, flesh tones, hue shift and text. Shoot-Out winners for 2009 were announced at the Photo Marketing Association International Tradeshow in February.
