Wins DIMA Shoot-Out for Best Black-and-White Print on Color Inkjet Printers breakthrough

RYE, NY – GEKKO is back! The popular monochrome photo paper has been completely re-engineered for inkjetprinters and re-released under the Pictorico brand. Aimed at the professional photographer, GEKKO produces rich, deep blacks for outstanding black-and-white inkjet prints.

Right out of the gate GEKKO has reclaimed its spot as a favorite among imaging experts. GEKKO Green (see paper descriptions below) is the winner of Digital Imaging Marketing Association’s (DIMA) 2008 Best Black-and-White Print on Color Inkjet Printers.

Mitsubishi will demonstrate GEKKO papers along with the company’s world-class Diamond Jet line of inkjet media at PMA 08 in Las Vegas, Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2008, Booth U147.

The new GEKKO papers are available in four versions:

  • GEKKO Red - 100% cotton paper, unique textured surface. Offers high D-Max and deep, rich blacks.
  • GEKKO Green - Look and feel of traditional Baryta black-and-white photo paper. Features a warm base-color tone.
  • GEKKO Black - Unique matte surface finish on traditional resin coated photo base paper.
  • GEKKO Blue - Unique luster surface finish on traditional resin coated photo base paper.
