Computer-to-plate

Mitsubishi Imaging is uncompromising in its commitment to provide the most innovative, environmentally friendly Computer-to-Plate technology. Through diligent research and development, Mitsubishi Imaging maintains its position as a leader in the industry. As a pioneer in sustainable technology, over ten years ago Mitsubishi had the foresight to offer the SDP-Eco1630IIIR utilizing an eco-friendly processing system which uses 2/3 less chemistry than other systems. Continuing with its mission to offer ground breaking, green technology, Mitsubishi introduced the DPX 4 Eco, providing small to mid-sized printers right-sized CTP with processing technology that uses less chemistry than other systems. Earlier this year, Mitsubishi was proud to release the first 100% chemistry-free Thermal DigiPlate. With continuous R&D, Mitsubishi Imaging makes CTP the right choice for printers who want to work more green without sacrificing quality by offering a variety of affordable, environmentally friendly CTP solutions to meet your individual needs.

Right-sized for the small to medium commercial printer, Mitsubishi Imaging’s Silver DigiPlate system is the most widely used polyester CTP system on the market, with more than 10,000 installations worldwide. Polyester systems have risen in popularity as printers discover their superior value and performance over metal CTP systems. Polyester CTP reproduces as good quality output as metal CTP at a lower cost and uses less chemistry, so you save money and reduce your business’ impact on the environment.

New to the line is Thermal DigiPlate, a revolutionary new flexible CTP plate that is completely processless and chemistry-free for printers who want an environmentally friendly upgrade from analog and electrostatic plates. Drawing on Mitsubishi Imaging’s expertise in paper technologies, Thermal DigiPlate uses a patented thermal fusing technology to create a high-contrast image on plate without chemical development, wash-off or ablation. The plates are exposed in a low-cost platemaker that uses a thermal head system. Thermal DigiPlate eliminates the need for chemicals, toner, ink ribbon, processer maintenance and chemical disposal so you save money on consumables and the space needed to store them.

Mitsubishi products are unique in that they’ve been built and enhanced from day one to meet the needs of the small to mid-sized printer. Unlike other products that are retrofitted, our solutions offer right-sized affordable, eco-friendly choices that cost less to own and operate and are less complicated to run allowing you to save time and money so you can be more competitive and land more work.
