Mitsubishi Imaging is hard at work on our next generation of
Eco-friendly CTP technologies: the Violet DigiPlate PDP-VL CTP System.
The PDP-VL plate is a true chemical-free, violet sensitive, polyester
or paper based offset printing plate, combining chemical-free plate
production with the offset quality and affordability of Mitsubishi
Imaging's Silver DigiPlate(TM).
This unique plate utilizes a polymer cross-linking technology that
creates the image area without chemical processing, requires only
water for rinsing, and does not require traditional violet plate
treatments such as pre-heating, post-baking and plate gumming.
PDP-VL Violet DigiPlate resembles a typical metal plate with a gray
background and a clearly visible blue image area, allowing for easy
plate inspection prior to mounting and while on the press.
